No stranger to firearms here and I've owned a handful of rifles in my life and now I want something older and I found a vintage ak47 but i have no clue about these so i could use some tips for things to keep in mind and check?

You want it as a collector to have it on display or you plan to shoot it?

I wouldn't mind shooting it but it would mainly be a showpiece

my 2 cents on this is set it up for a showpiece and dont bother with anythings else. Maybe I'm paranoid but I don't trust an ancient weapon with any kind of firind
