I recently came across a CAI M70B1, it was some listing my old buddy shared with me but since I am not an AK expert in any way, I went and searched a forum to ask.

For the people who know more about it, am wondering what are your thoughts regarding its build quality? Is it the first thing you pick up or do you think it's not worth spending $350 on.

It's a solid option, robust enough, but keep in mind that it's not something that would fall in the high-end category. As for the price, it's a bit cheaper than most I've seen online, but I think it would best to check the condition before deciding if it's worth getting it.

I would suggest looking at other listings so that you have something to compare it with and do let us know what you decide to get.

Also, welcome to the forum!

Appreciate the insight, @Alan. That’s kind of where my head was at, too. I haven’t seen it in person yet, so condition is definitely going to be the deciding factor. I’ll poke around and compare a few other listings before pulling the trigger. I’ll update the thread once I check it out.

Glad I could help. Also, another tip is to make sure you test it before buying, if possible. If not with live rounds, at least check if everything that should move, moves like it should, no restrictions, weird noises, grinding, stuff like that

Bro, in today's market, $350 for a functioning Yugo M70 is a total steal—most of these are going for double that or more

The B1 is a kit build, so just check the rivets to make sure they're flush and not smashed or loose. If the bore is bright and the sights aren't canted, you just found the deal of the year

That's the concern. Considering today's prices this being a steal makes things a bit suspicious about the condition
