Buying my first AK

Imno begginer for handguns but i am for ak and i need some help. Looking to buy one used but i dont know what are the things to look for or models to get or avoid. Anyone have any tips?

I see many people saying to avoid io inc ones, no experience with it so can't say they're good or bad. As far as things to look I'd say bring someone with you that has experience, just in case. I've seen plenty of home made builds with terrible quality that shouldn't even exist
