Not exactly an expert on ak47 but I have owned a few in my life and might be getting another one soon again, but that's not what I'm here for. Recently i saw a video of a guy doing a speed assmembly and got me wondering why? what's the point apart from flexing? Plus rushing leads to mistakes, so why?

Welcome!

Honestly I don't think there is a point, at least not in my opinion apart from being a competitive thing.

Pointless in my opinion. You showoff that your brain remembered a set of movements and you do it mechanically. Apart from that I don't see any benefits

What seems like showing off is actually something that can be crucial in combat. Sure, seems pointless at the gun range, but for some people it's muscle memory and a bit of practise. Not hating on your comments, just trying to explain a bit better

I have a couple of people in my family who serverd and they will easily confirm this. They do it these days to show off to us who have no idea what they're doing, but there were times when they kinda relied on that
