for me, Tapco mags are the absolute GOAT. I found a great outlet that still has them in stock, and I’m honestly thinking about selling off all my commie Russian surplus junk

The plan is to load up on these bad boys to pair with my new Century Arms VSKA. in my book, it’s not just the best AK ever made, but one of the best rifles, period, and it’s made right here in the USA. what do you guys think?

Haven't heard someone calling them the best, but I am curious to see what the other members have to say about this.

There was a time when they were popular, mainly because they were cheap and available literally everywhere, but I think are "outperformed" by many modern options. Just to point out, this is my opinion, not saying yours is wrong :)

don't mean to be a snob, but I only trust military surplus mags.

for steel, DDR ones are the gold standard for me, with Soviet and Polish tied for a very close second
I’ve tried Tapco, Magpul, and AC Unity, and they’re fine for a day at the range or some training drills. I mostly use them to save the wear and tear on my good military stuff so those mags stay fresh when it actually matters

I get that the surplus stuff has history, but honestly, I prefer the weight and the look of the Tapcos. they’ve been 100% reliable for me so far.

As for the VSKA, the S7 tool steel is literally designed for jackhammer tips, it’s built like a tank

That's actually a pretty good point, use case and I agree. The average person will be fine with these mainly because the average person doesn't go through a couple of boxes of rounds per day.
